SUMMARY:Fibre weaving and leather crafting weekend with Rene and Myah Bahloo
DESCRIPTION:This is a weekend where you will find yourself in a deeply nourishing creative space\, surrounded by creative souls on a journey of learning and sharing. Rene Bahloo and her daughter Myah will facilitate two separate but connected workshops – weaving with natural fibres\, and leather pouch and wallet-making. During the weekend\, you can choose to concentrate on creating one finished object of a particular technique\, or learn to play with two different creative techniques. One technique per person is possible in one day\, thus you will need to specify which one you are interested in upon booking. \nWeaving: Saturday – Burkina methods (lampshade) and Sunday – twist weave (mat weave). \nLeatherwork: Saturday – Pouches or wallets and Sunday – leather jewellery. \nChoice of one of these techniques per day. (you can mix and match) \nCome and share time with your friend\, your mum\, your loved on in a weekend of connection and craftiness. The weekend is also facilitated with a focus on mindful awareness\, where we practice being in the present moment and allowing ourselves to ground\, recalibrate and de-stress. \nAll materials are included.
