Two-day workshops focus on piccabeen palm fibre techniques, using palm inflorescence in a random weave technique as well as palm leaf sheath (bract) in a flat weave. This gives an opportunity to get to know the properties of each fibre and to increase appreciation of the magnificent bounty of the palm, a common garden and rainforest plant in South East Queensland.

These workshops can be customised for specific groups to include other fibres of choice.
